Projects, Projects, Projects!

I just finished a dragon scale bag for myself. I've never crocheted myself anything before, how strange! It's technically crocodile stitch, however at my house, we think the stitch looks more like dragon scales!

Christmas was a busy time for me. I crocheted fingerless gloves for the oldest, beanies for all the kiddos, even made a trash can for one of my son's oscar lol.

Yesterday I created a hook organizer for myself. The one my awesome hubby gave me for Christmas year before last was ruined in a small fire before the holidays.

My only work in progress at the moment is an afghan made from winged dragon and cat squares. I hope it turns out as cute as I have it pictured!

There are many things on my mental projects list. I'm wanting to make a penguon puppet for one of my son's, he's obsessed lol. One of our younger daughters is wanting a pair of fingerless gloves like big sister. I've been thinking about coming up with a dragon draft blocker pattern. And of course with Valentine's Day coming up, I'm thinking of what I might be able to hook for that as well!

Lots to do, lots to come!

Starting Fresh

It dawned on me a couple of days ago, that I only had a handful of posts here, none of which I found appealing. So I decided to start fresh, deleted them and am hoping to make a more active effort to keep Kazmatosh's blog up to date!

I have been doing a lot of thinking lately about the whole thought of Kazmatosh. I tried selling my creations on Etsy, however, I probably didn't put as much effort into it as I should have. As anyone however can imagine, having six kids, it's sometimes difficult to get to everything! There is also the fact that I've had the same problem as many have had before me and many more will most likely have after me too. Once you buy your materials and then figure in the cost of what your time is worth is making your creation, many don't want to pay the outcoming cost. Crochet, which is mostly what my creations revolves around, isn't a "I twitched my nose and now I'm done" kind of craft!

Because of this realization, I've decided to try my hand at creating and selling my own patterns. I'm also researching the possibility of dying my own yarn for my own personal use, as well as selling to others. I can't be the only one annoyed by the fact that you can't find baby yarn in anything other than pastels! Or the fact that you can't find pink and black zebra yarn anywhere!

Never stop growing, improving and playing with yarn!
